Two arrested in theft of bridge

Police have apprehended and placed in jail two brothers accused of stealing a privately-owned steel bridge from North Beaver Township. Benjamin Arthur Jones, 24, and Alexander William Jones, 25, of New Castle, used a torch to tear apart the 50-foot long Covert’s Crossing Bridge late last month or early this month. Wolverines score late, secure victory at Laurel

Led by Kelosky, Panthers get well-needed win

Not only was it homecoming Friday night at Memorial Stadium, but also the Riverside Panthers football team faced a must win game against the Freedom Bulldogs. Air attack leads Panthers over Freedom

Riverside quarterback Devin Kelosky threw for three touchdown to lead the Panthers to a 42-7 rout over Freedom Friday night as part of Riverside’s homecoming festivities.  Kelosky connected with Bobby Gould, Evan Hart, and Tom Mansfield all in the first half to push the Panthers to an early lead.  Hart also scored twice on the ground for Riverside.

Giant Eagle recalls brand of lettuce

Rotary Club welcomes district governor Visconti

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City had their regular weekly meeting at the Connequenessing Country Club on October 6.  The club was honored to have a visit from the new district governor, Mike Visconti. Who owes who money?
