Jameson Health System has announced a new site for Open Bore MRI service located at Lawrence County MRI and Diagnostic Imaging Center, 2526 Wilmington Road in New Castle.
Open Bore service previously located in a freestanding building on Jameson Hospital’s North Campus has been relocated to make way for the new Emergency & Surgical Departments Building, currently under construction.
Traditional MRI service continues to be offered in the Medical Imaging Department on the Ground Floor of Jameson Hospital.
Open Bore Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) provides the same level and quality of results as a traditional machine but delivers a higher degree of patient comfort with larger, more open space.
Jane Beight, Director of Diagnostic Services at Jameson Health System comments, “The new location for Open Bore MRI will allow us to continue the same excellent MRI services for our patients who tend to be claustrophobic or apprehensive at a new, convenient location during the construction process.”
“Lawrence County MRI and Diagnostic Imaging Center is proud to expand imaging services to offer our local region’s only high field, high quality Open Bore MRI unit. The facility provides the benefits of flexible hours, same-day appointments, near-the-door parking as well as an on-site Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist for patient and referring physician consultation,” said Richard A. Pica, M.D., Radiologist for Jameson Health System.
Appointments for all medical imaging studies including Open Bore MRI service can be scheduled through Jameson’s Centralized Scheduling by calling 724.656.4220.
