Ellwood City Little League/Minor League results

Behind the hitting and pitching of Luca Botti and Anthony Roth, the Elks defeated the Wolves, 11-2, in the Ellwood City Little League on Wednesday night at Freidhoff Field.

At the plate, Botti had a triple, double, and single, and Roth homered and doubled. On the mound, the two combined for a three-hitter and struck out 10 batters.

With the score tied 1-1, the Elks had five runs in the top of the third inning to open up a 6-1 lead.  The Elks added a single run in the fourth inning before adding four more runs in the fifth inning.

Josh Magill also added a double for the Elks.

Luke Bookamer, Jacob Matheny, and Dom Spadafore singled for the Wolves.

Minor League
Austin Walley, Blake Agnew, and Tristan Weber helped Nalco to a 10-1 win over Dimeo Law in Ellwood City Minor League action Thursday night at Freidhoff Field.

With the victory, Nalco remains the only unbeaten team in the league and raised their record to 4-0. Nalco jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and pulled away with a five-run fifth inning.

Walley doubled, singled twice, and drove in four runs and Agnew tripled twice and drove in three runs. Weber added a double and singled twice for Nalco.

Doug Balin picked up the victory by hurling three scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Nick Neupauer and Walley pitched in relief. The three pitchers combined to hold Dimeo Law to one hit-a double by Jonah Bookamer.
