Someone apparently forgot to tell the Mohawk Warriors that the home team is supposed to win on homecoming. Ellwood City (1-4 MAC, 1-5 overall) fell to Mohawk Friday night at Helling Stadium by a final count of 28-21. Every loss hurts but Ellwood City’s 43-7 defeat at the hands of the Beaver Falls Tigers, was even more painful because they lost junior running back/quarterback Jared Meyers to an injury. Against the Freedom Bulldogs Friday night at Heiling Stadium the Ellwood City Wolverines showed flashes of brilliance but there were other times when that was simply not the case.
