IRS Plans Jan. 30 Tax Season Opening For 1040 Filers
Following the January tax law changes made by Congress under the American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA), the Internal Revenue Service announced today it plans to open the 2013 filing season and begin processing individual income tax returns on Jan. 30. WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced Friday annual inflation adjustments for tax year 2013, including the tax rate schedules, and other tax changes from the recently passed American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. Bridge repair project on Route-488 begins Monday
PENNDOT will enforce traffice restrictions for roughly one week starting today, January 14, on the Second Bridge, which carries Route-488 over Slippery Rock Creek. The work is necessary to repair the bridge’s steel structure, according to PENNDOT, and the project is scheduled to run through January 22, weather permitting. Fatal fire kills one person in Big Beaver
Area firefighters and state police were called to a house fire early Thursday morning in Big Beaver Township. The house fire, located at 1375 Shenango Road, was ablaze just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
