ECPD recovers nearly 800 bags of heroin

This drug bust resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals from Detroit, Michigan with a seizure of nearly 800 bags of heroin with a street value of approx. $12k. PHOTOS: House fire leaves Ellwood in smoke

Ellwood City was covered in a thick, heavy smog yesterday afternoon as a Spring Avenue house went up in flames. Around 1:00pm, firefighters from Ellwood City and the surrounding area rushed to the burning home of Shalanda Bentel, a teacher at New Castle Elementary. Bentel, who lives with her husband and two daughters, was luckily not in her rental home at the time of the incident. ‘Les Miserables’ cast recognized with commendation

On Thursday, May 23, 2013 Mayor Court attended the Lincoln High School Awards Assembly where he presented commendations to cast members who were recognized for their performances in this years High School Play “Les Miserables”. Ellwood Track off to Shippensburg

Ellwood City Boys 4×1 Relay Team starting from left, Nicholas Ioanilli, DJ Barrett, Keaton Docchio, and Kevin Court. Lincoln High School sent four student athletes to the PIAA State Track & Field Championships at Shippensburg University today.
