Corona D’Italia meeting notes

Corona D’Italia Lodge 807 officers and members held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Pizza Joe’s restaurant. Christmas dinner served to 1954 LHS class

Pudue La Cava hosted the Christmas dinner for the 1954 Lincoln High School class’ “Bridges to Lincoln ‘HI’” committee at her home on Friday, Nov. 14. Ellwood City to honor fallen firefighters 25 years later

Cash mob this Saturday

The Cash Mob of Ellwood City will be heading to Glamorous Tanning, located at 605 Lawrence Ave., for its Small Business Saturday shopping spree. Annual workshop, trip to Israel, among Rotary Club topics

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City held its weekly meeting on Nov. 13 at the Connoquenessing Country Club.  President Alisa Hatchett opened the meeting by asking Bruce Thalmann to lead in the singing of “God Bless America.”  Louise Carroll gave the blessing, while Ann Mason administered and won the 50/50 drawing. Donation presented to Ellwood City Police K9 unit

On Thursday, Nov. 20, a $1,000 donation was presented to the Ellwood City Police Department’s K9 unit from the Lawrence County K9 Safety Fund. The donation was presented by program co-chairs Rudy Spielvogel and Brenda Phillips to help with the cost of a kennel for Ellwood City’s two police dogs, Jozek and Ranger.  Accepting the donation on behalf of the Ellwood City Police Department K9 unit were Lt. POLICE: Man faces charges for child pornography

An Ellwood City man faces several charges in relation to child pornography According to the report, Preston Jacob St. Clair, 25, of 1217 Hickernell Rd., was arrested by the state attorney general’s office after investigators discovered that he allegedly downloaded and distributed child pornography from his personal computer.
