Police: Woman Deliberately Drives into Portable Toilet

Rykel Samsa, 19, of Ellwood City, has been charged with criminal mischief for driving into a portable toilet. The toilet, owned by Approved Toilet Rentals, is located in Ewing Park on Riverside Drive near Shelter #8. According to the police report, at 9:00 a.m. on May 13, a park employee reported the toilet damaged. Investigating officers believed the damage was inflicted by a motor vehicle. Community Plaza Equipped with Public Restroom

The Ellwood City Revitalization group (ECR) commemorated the opening of a comfort station at 518 Beaver Ave on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. The facility, made possible by a donation from the Hoyt Foundation, will provide 2 fully equipped restrooms, drinking fountains, and storage equipment for the farmer’s market. The top ten seniors of the 2015 graduating class of Lincoln High School were honored at a dinner at Log Cabin Inn restaurant in Harmony, PA on Tuesday evening. Ellwood City Wolves Club Honors Scholarship Winners

The Ellwood City Wolves Club continued its long-standing tradition of granting educational scholarships to Lincoln High School and Riverside High School seniors who qualified after making application for 1 of 7 different monetary awards. Riverside’s 9th Annual Talent Show

On Friday, May 22, Riverside Video Yearbook Club sponsored its 9th Annual Talent Show at the Riverside High School auditorium. Co-sponsors of the club are Chris DiIanni and Raylene Boots, both teachers at Riverside. Hartman Intermediate students enjoyed Fun Fitness Day on Friday, May 22. The 5th and 6th graders enjoyed a rock wall,  a euro bungee, giant slides, obstacle course, team work stations, indoor activities, and lawn games. Riverside 4 x 400 Relay Team Wins Silver at States

The Riverside boys 4 x 400 meter relay team came home from Shippensburg with a silver medal. The team clocked in at 3:24.1 at the PIAA state championship on Friday and Saturday. The American Legion Defeats Johnny’s Pizza 5 – 2

The American Legion defeated Johnny’s Pizza 5-2 in a Little League game on Friday at Freidhoff Field. Ryan Hampton and Joe Hudson were the starters.
