48th Annual Holy Redeemer Bazaar

Tonight the 48th Annual Holy Redeemer Parish Bazaar returns to Ellwood City for four nights of rides, games, food and entertainment. Mayor’s Advisory Committee July Meeting

The Mayor’s Advisory Committee met on July 24 in the Council Chambers. Parking problems were discussed as there have been many complaints about problems on the streets. POLICE REPORT: Criminal Mischief; Arson; Assault; DUI

Criminal Mischief: According to the police report, Donald McClosky reported criminal mischief his home on the 500 block of 13th Street on 7/21. At some point during the night, an unknown actor through a brick through McClosky’s front window. The actor vandalized his home by throwing fruit, vegetables, bottles and eggs and squirting ketchup and mustard on the sides of his house. Rotary Club July 10th Meeting Brief

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City met for its weekly meeting on July 10th. President Alisa Hatchett asked David Braymer to lead the singing of God Bless America. Louise Carroll gave the prayer. Carole Kinney administered the 50/50 drawing won by Dr. Larry Rayhall. She also collected Happy Bucks for contribution to Rotary International. Playground Attendees Learn to Kayak

The second Ellwood City Borough Playground Enrichment Program was held this week. David McQuaid, owner of Keystone Sojourns Adventures, gave an informative presentation on the proper procedures and skills necessary to use and enjoy the water sport of Kayaking.
