ANNOUNCEMENTS

A work day will be held tomorrow, Monday, May 14th at 6 PM. Everybody is invited to come and bring a pair of work gloves.

Vacation Bible School- “Sonrise National Park Adventure”- is coming soon, June 11-15, 6-8:15 PM at the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. Don’t forget to bring in your pennies and put them in the jar in the narthex.

If you know a young adult in our church who will be receiving their high school diploma, 2-year associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree, give the office a call.  We need the name of the student, the school, and the degree.  Thank you!

Copies of The Lemon Tree, our book discussion selection for June 10th, are in the narthex. The Lemon Tree is the story of two families – one Israeli and one Palestinian- who live in the same house at different times and who gradually build a friendship over the years. Please sign the sheet when you take your copy. Cost is $8.

The Carpenter’s Project is now accepting requests from homeowners for outside repairs, clean up jobs and painting. Priority is given to those who have never received assistance in previous years.  There are no financial requirements.  Homeowners may call Beth Andrews or Steven Miller.  The Carpenter’s Project Work Forms are now available in the narthex.

Volunteers are needed to help in many capacities, June 30-July 7 when General Assembly meets in Pittsburgh. Visitors are also welcome. Perhaps we could get a group together to visit General Assembly for one of the days. If you are interested in volunteering, visiting or would like more information, please contact Pastor Julia or visit www.Cola2012.org.

We are still collecting items for the Yellow Ribbon Girls.  Candy canes, nativity scenes, and monetary donations are accepted throughout the year.  Monetary donations can be made at any ESB Bank.

We need your help cutting the grass!  Your contribution to help in paying our lawn mower is welcome!  Please make your check payable to Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church (memo: Grass Cutting) and place in the offering plate.
